Weekend Away

Mr B’s weekend Dear class,  I, Mr B, had a lovely weekend with Freya and did all sorts of fun things. I had a blast! Let me tell you what Freya and I did. First, as a treat, Freya got to have a sleepover at her nan’s house, she took me too! I met her nan’s dog called Bailey. After that, as it was her brother’s birthday a few days ago, we went out to dinner, I wanted to look my best, so I put some make-up on (I am a pro at make-up if you didn't know already) and headed out. I had such a lovely dinner, spicy chips with nachos, I even got to make my own fajita! Eventually we headed back home and watched some telly.  The next day, Freya helped me make a Lemon Drizzle cake for her grandad. I wanted to jump into the sugar but Freya caught it while I was in mid-air so I couldn't jump into the sugar. Once we had finished making that, Freya’s mum came and took us home to get ready for town with Belle. Sadly, Freya said I wasn’t allowed to go to town with her, so I staye...

Alton Towers

At the weekend Mr B and I went to Alton Towers and went on rides such as: Oblivion, Rita, Thirteen, Galactica, Smiler, Nemesis, Runaway Train and Wicker Man. The water ride wasn’t open in the morning, but in the afternoon it was to cold so we didn’t get to go on it. Wicker Man was the last ride we did and had the longest queue-1 hour and 15 minutes.Mr B and I waited patiently in the queue,it didn’t seem that long. Eventually it turned out that we queued for 1 ½ hours. As it was Scarefest weekend the park shut at 10:00 instead of 6:00 which meant the queue didn’t really decrease. The queue didn’t actually feel very long. When we finally got inside we had to watch a video about the Wicker Man. After that we got in the dark rollercoaster car and we were off. The up was very bumpy but when we went down it was pretty fast and not bumpy at all.It was so much faster than I would have thought from a wooden coaster. After Wicker Man we left the park. In summary we had a great day and I sai...

Rugby - Conversion Practice

Image
News of the sport of rugby recently reached Gotham City. Robin, who is an avid fan, is loving the Rugby World Cup that is currently taking place. He's increased the amount of rugby he watches; I've had to choose which battle to fight (in my own home). Today, instead of arguing with R about whether to watch Argentina versus England or not, I decided to head out and try a spot of 'egg chasing' for myself. Surprisingly, I'm rather good at kicking the ball over the posts. I was intrigued to learn that one of the teams at the world cup dress in jet-black - like yours truly! When I returned home, I told Robin I still didn't see what all the fuss was about (inside I'd enjoyed my day and succeeded in getting that ball over the posts). I have, of course wrestled a few rugby players in my time, but never on the pitch...

Classroom Life

Image
Exhausted from my night of crime fighting, my started with taking my coffee and going down to the classroom. Today, I was giving a lecture on the best way to hide in bushes to some school children. Most seemed nice enough; others might appear on my radar in the future. The lecture went well as I told them about the many different strategies which can be used to conceal oneself in the foliage. The teacher was a bit boring, so I showed off some awesome Bat-poses. After that, the children were as excited as pigs rolling in glorious mud. The long, arduous day finished with some eager, interesting questions and then I headed back to the Batcave and a nice dinner of buttery crumpets.
